H.R. 3200: America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009

July 31, 2009 -- H.R. 3200 was approved by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce in a markup session on July 31, 2009. AAPM members are urged to read this bill, as well as encourage their patients and communities to do the same.

National Pain Care Policy Act S. 660

June 25, 2009 -- The National Pain Care Policy Act S. 660 has been rolled into the Hatch amendment # 10 and included in the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee's comprehensive health reform bill in the Committee's mark-up this week. Senator Dodd, who is chairing the HELP Committee meetings this week, was an original co-sponsor of S. 660. The House version of the bill, H.R. 756, passed the House earlier this year. AAPM will keep members informed of further progress as we continue to collaborate with other pain organizations to advocate for our pain patients.
