Who is eligible to be an active member of the AAPM?
AAPM membership is open to physicians (i.e., doctors of medicine or doctors of osteopathy) who practice medicine in the United States. These members spend a significant portion of their time treating pain patients and studying pain disorders. Active physician members may vote, serve as officers and directors, serve and vote on committees, and are required to pay dues
When will I be asked to renew my AAPM membership?
AAPM membership is renewed every 12 months, so your membership renews every year at the same time. You will receive invoices for your renewal approximately 3-4 months in advance of the time of your renewal date.
I’m a new member, how long before I receive my AAPM member benefits?
Your membership should be available within two weeks of receiving your information and payment, and you will receive a confirmation notice shortly thereafter. You should receive a membership kit with a certificate and membership card within approximately three to four weeks after your membership has been entered into our database. Allow eight to twelve weeks to receive your first issues of Pain Journal and Pain Medicine Network newsletter.
