    Scholarship Program

    The American Academy of Pain Medicine is pleased to announce AAPM's Pain Medicine Fellows Scholarship Program. The scholarship is available to Pain Medicine Fellows currently in accredited ACGME or AOA Pain Medicine Fellowship Programs to attend AAPM’s Annual Meeting and Preconferences being held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, BC, Canada. The Academy would like to give future leaders in the pain medicine field the opportunity to engage with current thought leaders and researchers. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by available funding.

    The Scholarship will include:

    • Registration to the Interdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary Pain-Based Care Preconference
      (Part 1 of 2:Thursday April 26, 7:30 – 11:30 AM; Part 2 of 2: Thursday, April 26, 1:15 – 4:45 PM)

    • Registration to the Annual Meeting April 26 - 29.

    • A free year of AAPM membership (April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019)

    • Up to $1,500 USD in reimbursement for related costs to attend the meeting. Reimbursable expenses will be limited to travel (i.e. air, ground, baggage costs, and travel-related tips), and hotel (excluding incidental costs). Meals are not reimbursable. The Fellow will be responsible for any expenses incurred above the $1,500 allowable costs specified above.

    • Networking opportunities with leaders in the field of pain medicine at both a reception for program directors and fellows, an invitation to the AAPM President's Reception, as well as other networking opportunities throughout the meeting.
