The American Academy of Pain Medicine’s Corporate Partners initiative continues to bring physician leaders and industry representatives together around a shared priority: improving patient access to appropriate, evidence-based pain care.

The Academy, in collaboration with our partners, examined the practical barriers that can delay or prevent treatment, including prior authorization requirements, coverage denials, changing payer criteria, and institutional review processes. Our goal is to support physicians as they navigate these challenges while encouraging more transparent and constructive engagement across the healthcare system.

Our work will remain patient-centered, evidence-based, transparent, therapy-neutral, and grounded in physician-led care. AAPM and its Corporate Partners collaborate throughout the year on practical resources and advocacy approaches that help physicians make the case for timely, clinically appropriate treatment, without promoting any individual product or company.
