Early Career Physician membership is available to physicians within three years of completing training. Eligibility verification is required.

AAPM’s updated membership model is designed to provide a more personalized, connected, and valuable member experience.
As part of these updates, we’re introducing a new Member Dashboard that makes it easier to discover and use the benefits already included with your membership.
Member feedback has shown that many members are unaware of the full range of resources available to them, including access to the Pain Medicine Journal, educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and networking through committees or SIGs. The new Member Dashboard brings these resources together in one place, making it easier to find relevant content, manage your membership, and engage with AAPM throughout your career.

How much will my dues be?
Beginning later this summer, AAPM will implement updated membership dues as part of our new membership model. Please refer to the chart above for your membership category and annual dues.
Why is AAPM updating membership dues?
Your AAPM membership is designed to support you throughout every stage of your career. The updated dues allow us to continue expanding the education, advocacy, networking, and professional opportunities members value most while making it easier to discover and access everything your membership includes.
Membership dues have remained unchanged since 2018. During that time, AAPM has continued to grow its educational offerings, advocacy initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and member resources. These updates allow us to continue investing in the programs and services that support you and the broader pain medicine community.

These updates coincide with the launch of AAPM’s new membership model and Member Dashboard. When do the new dues take effect?
The updated membership model and dues will take effect later this summer with the launch of AAPM’s new Member Dashboard. We will communicate the exact effective date in advance of implementation.
What if I renew before the increase?
Members who renew before the new dues take effect will renew at the current membership rate for their upcoming membership term.
Why are Student, Resident, and Fellow dues changing?
AAPM remains committed to supporting the next generation of pain medicine professionals. The updated trainee categories create a clearer pathway from training into professional practice while continuing to provide affordable access to education, mentorship, networking, leadership opportunities, and career development throughout training and beyond.
