Finalists for March’s Innovation Challenge Officially Announced
Whittled down from a field of almost 70 entrants, the 2022 AAPM + MIT Hacking Medicine Innovation Challenge selection committee has identified the 14 finalists vying to win $100,000 of in-kind prizes at this healthcare innovation pitch competition.
About the Event
The Innovation Challenge, happening on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Westin Kierland Resort, is a shark tank-style pitch competition for established startups, aspiring healthcare entrepreneurs, researchers, and teams with solutions and technologies aimed at improving the lives of people living with pain across all specialties and fields of medicine.
Teams will have 5-minutes to pitch a panel of pain medicine experts, seasoned entrepreneurs, and potential investors in the dramatic event taking place as part of the 38th Annual AAPM Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ. The judges will then have 3-minutes to ask questions and will choose a grand prize winner and a runner-up.
The event will also include a keynote address from Dr. John Halamka, a world-renowned expert in medical innovation and is President of the Mayo Clinic Platform, where he leads a portfolio of digital health companies focused on transforming healthcare.
The live pitch competition event is open to the public and free to attend. Complimentary food and drinks will be available for attendees.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. in the Trailblazer C room of the Westin Kierland Resort.
