Behavioral Medicine of Pain - Certificate of Completion Course

This asynchronous, self-paced, online course will provide participants with foundational knowledge in pain-related behavioral health care. Clinical and research experts in pain medicine will discuss timely topics across six modules, including foundations in pain behavioral health, behavioral pain assessments, evidence-based behavioral pain treatments, pain management across diverse patient populations, management of pain and common comorbidities, and best practices in establishing and sustaining a pain-related behavioral health practice.

Most lectures are 15-30 minutes, making this course accessible for busy clinicians. This course is designed for pain experts seeking to enhance their knowledge of widely accessible evidence-based behavioral health pain management strategies as well as clinicians without extensive training in pain management seeking tips and tricks to incorporate behavioral pain management into their clinical practice.

Uniquely, this course is designed to provide education on behavioral pain care for all providers (physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and physical therapists) who care for individuals experiencing acute and chronic pain with the goal of expanding knowledge, access, and availability of evidence-based behavioral pain care.
