Join an expert multidisciplinary panel for an engaging discussion on the draft evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for the assessment and treatment of acute low back pain. This webinar presents the draft evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for the assessment and treatment of acute low back pain, developed using a rigorous systematic review and GRADE methodology.
This 90-minute webinar begins with an overview of the guideline recommendations and the evidence supporting them, followed by a moderated panel discussion in which multidisciplinary experts share their perspectives on key topics addressed within the guidelines. Panelists discuss the practical application of the recommendations, considerations across different clinical settings and specialties, and real-world approaches to implementing evidence-based care.
The discussion highlights evidence-supported behavioral and psychologically informed approaches to acute pain management, including patient education, self-management strategies and tools, activity encouragement, fear-avoidance reduction, shared decision-making, and principles of psychologically informed physical therapy.
Participants will leave with practical, patient-centered strategies to support the assessment and management of acute low back pain while better understanding how guideline recommendations can be applied across diverse clinical practices.
